The Angel Foundation was the vision of Florence's great nephew, Edward Ellsworth Stokes, Jr. His dedication and love for family and community inspired him to establish The Florence S. Bush Angel Foundation.

Thank you for helping us celebrate the life of Edward E. Stokes, Jr. He passed away unexpectedly in November 2008. Your outstanding support helped us raise scholarship money to be awarded in his name to a 2023 college-bound student.
​
The event was a fantastic success. It was held on Saturday, March 25th, at Martin’s West. It was a beautiful fun filled event
with food, music, dancing, beer and wine with a fantastic silent auction and raffle prizes.
​
The fundraiser was hosted by The Florence S. Bush Angel Foundation. It was founded by Eddie to honor his great aunt, Florence Bush, and her passion to help the poor and disadvantaged. This scholarship is a great combination of Florence's passion for aiding others and Eddie's passion for entrepreneurship and business.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship
We have also partnered with the Morgan State University Alumni Association to award a Martin Luther King, Jr. scholarship in memory of Edward E. Stokes, Sr., who was the Foundation’s President from 2008 to 2016 when he passed away.
